The scholarly journal of nonprofit direct marketing professionals

Published digitally up to 3 times per year — winter, spring and fall — and with a pass along circulation of over 3,000, the Journal is our flagship publication. Articles, which are accepted on a rolling basis, are written by Federation members and ANA staff as well as outside experts and help enhance our members’ knowledge base of the nonprofit sector.

The Journal is free for members of the ANA Nonprofit Federation and Corporate Partners.

Article submission specs

  • Content must be relevant to the nonprofit sector. We reserve the right of editorial discretion for articles based on content, quality and length.
  • Word count: approximately 1,500
  • File format: Microsoft Word
  • Include a short bio and a photo (minimum size: 2.5″ square at 300 ppi), which will be printed with your article.

Advertising submission specs

  • All ads are subject to publisher approval
  • Ads must be the exact size stated; no bleeds
  • File format: press-quality PDF with linked artwork at 300 ppi and all fonts embedded

  • Full page: 7.5″ x 9.5″ — $595
  • Half page: 7.5″ x 4.625″ — $315
  • Quarter page: 3.65″ x 4.625″ — $195
  • 2 column: 3.65″ x 9.5″ — $395
  • 1 column: 1.75″ x 9.5″ — $240
