Part 1: Digital 101

The Digital 101 panel discussion provides the foundation of online fundraising. This expert-led panel will tell you everything you need to know for planning, implementing, running, and evaluating online marketing programs. This interactive discussion will provide the framework of online marketing/fundraising campaigns based on actual client programs. Some topics addressed:

  • Website Best Practices: What needs to be included on your website and how to keep it fresh in order to attract visitors
  • Email Campaigns: Strategy behind what to send, whom to send it to, and when to send it
  • Multi-channel integration: How to build a production schedule to incorporate all channels

Panel discussion led by Janel Clement, PS Digital, Tori Richards, CDR Fundraising Group and Rebecca Haverson, Concern Worldwide, US.

Part 2: Digital 201

Digital 201 breaks out into individual sessions to go beyond the basics and dive deeper into these essential topics. The in-depth sessions will explore the details and metrics of ongoing successful online marketing/fundraising programs as well as new techniques and tactics to build strong and engaging constituent relationships. Utilizing plans, programs, data, and results gathered from actual client programs, the attendee will learn in-depth knowledge of:

  • Data Analytics, presented by Kevin Moran, Integral: What performance metrics should you be analyzing, how to benchmark your campaigns’ performance, and how to apply your analysis to ongoing programs and how to use the data to better connect with your donors.
  • Copywriting for Nonprofits, presented by Bonnie Catena, Catena Connects: “If I had more time, I would have written a shorter letter.” Folks have cited Blaise Pascal, Benjamin Franklin, Henry David Thoreau, and others as the author of this sentence. Regardless, these wise words are spot on in describing the challenges – and fun! – of writing in the digital space. From subject lines and pre-header text … to email body copy … to social media posts … learn how to pack the most power the space you have.
  • Online Acquisition, presented by Ashleigh Lambert, Beaconfire RedEngine: Understanding methodologies behind acquiring new supporters online and guidelines for what to do with the supporters once their first action is made.

Taught by industry leaders, this full day seminar will provide immediate educational benefits to the attendees, and provide actionable information which may be incorporated into current and future marketing efforts.

Whether you have been in the industry 5 years or 25 years, this seminar is for you.
